This past Thursday marked the celebration of International Women’s Day. Currently, there are 112 women serving in the 115th Congress including 23 senators, 84 representatives, and 5 delegates. Of the 112 women, 82 are Democrat and 30 are Republican. While women make up 20 percent of Congress, only 23 states have 20 percent or more of their state delegation represented by women.
