Meet The Speakers

Mike Allen

Mike Allen is the co-founder of Axios. Mike writes the Axios Daily Essentials newsletters, Axios AM, Axios PM and Axios Finish Line. He was also an executive producer of the Emmy Award-winning docu-news series, “Axios on HBO,” and co-author of Smart Brevity: The Power of Saying More with Less.

Mike was a co-founder of Politico, where he created Politico Playbook and helped build the company for its first decade. He has been named several times to Vanity Fair’s “New Establishment” list. He is also an alumnus of TIME, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and the Richmond Times-Dispatch. He is from Orange County, Calif., and graduated from Washington and Lee University.

Alex Wirth

Alex Wirth is the co-founder and CEO of Quorum. Quorum serves over 2,000 customers globally, including over 50% of the Fortune 100, and has over 400 team members across the globe.

Alex won the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award for Mid-Atlantic Emerging Companies, was named by the Washingtonian as one of D.C.’s Top 100 Tech Leaders, is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, a member of The Economic Club of Washington D.C. and the Arthur W. Page Society. Alex was also named to the Washington Business Journal’s 2024 40 Under 40 list. He sits on the Government Relations Executives Council, the U.S. National Commission for UNESCO, and the Board of Directors of The Public Affairs Council.

Alex has spoken at the United Nations, Clinton Global Initiative, World Forum for Democracy, SXSW, and TedxFoggyBottom. Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, Alex graduated from Harvard with a degree in Government and Economics and worked in the White House and U.S. Senate before starting Quorum.
