Darien Flowers

Principal

Darien Flowers is a principal in the Public Policy Practice, with extensive background bringing together executive and legislative branch experience in transportation, infrastructure, technology, and homeland security on behalf of clients. Prior to his work in the private sector, Darien spent nearly a decade in public service. He was deputy policy director at the US Senate’s Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. Immediately before joining the committee, Darien was a senior adviser to the Under Secretary of Transportation for Policy at the US Department of Transportation (USDOT).

Dave Schnittger

Principal

Dave Schnittger joined Squire Patton Boggs after serving for 21 years on the congressional staff of former US House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), working as deputy chief of staff in Speaker Boehner’s leadership office from 2006 to 2015. Now a principal in the Public Policy Group, Dave was recognized by ​The Legal 500​ in 2022 for his work for clients on policy matters in the energy, transportation, entertainment/hospitality, and financial services industries. Dave has worked for years as a trusted government affairs advisor for several Fortune 500 companies and sovereign governments seeking to attract American business investment and build better relationships with the US.

Rodney P. Emery

Principal

Rodney is a principal in the Squire Patton Boggs Washington DC office. A government affairs professional with 25 years of experience, Rodney has advised members of Congress, a Cabinet secretary, agency administrators, an under secretary for international trade, and executives from Fortune 500 companies. Prior to returning to the private sector, he served as Chief of Staff for Congressman Steven Horsford (D-NV) and as a presidential appointee in the Obama administration. As part of the Obama administration, Rodney served as the Director of Congressional Affairs for the International Trade Administration (ITA) at the United States Department of Commerce. In this role, he coordinated the bureau’s engagement with Congress on issues ranging from market access to anti-dumping cases.
